Baby’s 1st Photo Shoot!

Over Memorial Day Weekend, we anxiously waited for our ultrasound appointment the following Tuesday. Finally, the day had come when we would get a glimpse of the baby in actual baby form. The ultrasound was amazing!  In the OB/GYN office there was a separate dim lit room with a huge flat screen monitor in front in which we could view the every move of the baby via ultrasound as the tech maneuvered the wand over my belly. At first the baby was being stubborn (wonder who he/she takes after ;) and baby wouldn’t get into the correct positioning for the tech to take the correct measurements. After I drank cold water, took a bathroom break, I was getting nervous we would have to reschedule the appointment but finally 20 minutes later it was in position. We have a few snapshots that the tech froze for us, it is crazy at almost 14 weeks what the baby looks like. The tech could see the kidneys, heart, etc as well as hands, feet and mouth. At one point when the baby was laying on its back and it opened its mouth as to swallow or yawn, I was amazed! So neat. Here are a few photos of the baby’s first photo shoot ;

Here are the baby's two feet!

This one is a pic of the top of the head (bottom) and the hands above its face with finger tips touching where the two arrows are.  Of course Phil said the baby is already practicing to catch a pass!  He is set it is a boy but you never know...

The profile of the baby laying on its back with head on right... so amazing to see the little features such as the nose, mouth, etc.
