A Lil’ Heartbeat

We had our second “baby” appointment Thursday, May 27th. It was a day I had been looking forward to for some time, a day we were scheduled to have the first official ultrasound of the baby done, as well as met our OB/GYN for the first time. Phil had scheduled to take the morning off and we were ready to see a real baby! However, as in life nothing goes as planned so unfortunately I received a call the day before that the ultrasound tech had a family emergency and had to reschedule our ultrasound, for the following Tuesday. A little bummed, we were still able to go to our appointment and met our doctor. She said everything was perfect and let us listen to the baby’s heartbeat. It was truly amazing to hear it for the first time! Super crazy something that small can have such a strong beating heart. Now we can’t wait to see this little one’s face!
