SUMMER is here!

We had our first three digit temp days this last weekend letting us know summer is officially here! We plan on taking advantage of living in the heat. This year we planted an “urban garden” and our first tomato is almost ready to pick… we have 6 tomato plants and are hoping it might turn out that we will soon have too many tomatoes to know what to do with… but there is nothing better than the smell and taste of fresh tomatoes, yummy!

So far this summer we have had a few free weekends and thanks to my parents we are borrowing their ski boat again for the summer. It is so nice having Folsom Lake only 10 minutes from our house, we grab sandwiches and sunscreen and head out to the lake for some much needed sun and relaxation… Izzy loves the water almost as much as me, and she is quite the bird hunter always on high alert when we are on the water. We bought her a life jacket, yes she is a swimmer but I am overprotective ;) With such a low profile boat I am afraid her 19lb little self with fly out overboard and besides what girl doesn’t look cute in hot pink?
