Surprise!!

Since I am writing this blog to capture the many adventures of our life, I think it is appropriate to start the blog with this post. This new adventure for both Phil and I, will be an amazing one, that I am sure will consume the majority of these postings the next few months, years!

It was almost March and I was turning 27, we had been married for almost 3 years, had a wonderful 1.5 year old dog- Izzy, Phil was working for a great company, so why not change things up a bit just to see what happens… We were ready to start the next chapter in our life, or at least we thought we’d play a little life roulette and see what happened!

It was the first month we jumped on the “let’s have a baby bandwagon”, so I was definitely not expecting it to happen so soon. I was thinking maybe the end of summer, whenever let’s just see what happens.

We had just had a fun weekend with our friends in the Livermore Valley, celebrating my birthday and the beautiful spring weather. When we returned home that Sunday night, we found out the shockingly exciting news, we were expecting a baby!

Although in reality we might not have it all figured out, we don’t own a house- yet, I drive a 2 door Honda Civic, we’ve moved 9 times in the last 5 years, I am an unemployed teacher, but who says life has to be picture perfect and planned out? Sometimes life is better left UNperfectly planned, sometimes the best things in life are a surprise! This surprise is about to rock our world and Dec 5th can’t come soon enough!
