Fourth of July

My goal is to update my blog from here on out at least once a week… preferably Monday or Tuesday but as I said previously this is my plan, but I might not stick to it I am willing to be flexible! Hope you enjoy!

Anyway, this last week was been a busy week for us and this will possibly be the busiest July we have ever had. We are attending three weddings, three weekends in a row, all close friends, all in Humboldt. This weekend was a special weekend being Fourth of July Weekend in which our friends Scott and Natalie were married and what a beautiful wedding it was! We were lucky enough to be involved with the behind the scenes, I helped Natalie as her wannabe Wedding Coordinator. I felt so honored that she trusted me to keep things on schedule and people paid. It was a fun time… Although, I will have to admit this was my first wedding in a long time in which I was one of the only sober persons but luckily I had my trusty pregnant sidekick, Megan C. (we are due one week apart) to keep me company while Phil lived it up for the us! We had a great time!

For the rest of the weekend we enjoyed spending time with family, a BBQ at Phil’s grandparents, helping my parents work on their deck, more fireworks with friends, and enjoying the 30 degree temperature difference of Humboldt County vs. Folsom! Phil unfortunately had to go back to work on Tuesday but Izzy and I decided to stay in HumCo with my parents for the week, and Phil will return next Friday. No set plans this week but I am really looking forward to relaxing and eating at some of the local restaurants. It is amazing what great food there is in HumCo that you cannot find anywhere else… definitely going to hit up some Bob’s Footlong, Mazotti’s, Las Caz, PizzaCo, just to name a few. Wow do I sound pregnant or what?! I guess I can use the eating for two excuse, right? ;) Hopefully Phil recognizes me when he returns, (only kidding… I hope).

Can’t wait for next weekend, Dani is getting married and what a celebration it will be!
